Nursing,
A noble profession with a core calling.
A unique motherhood rendering assistance to all persons in need of care.
A reliable and reassuring entity.
A sincere avenue from a start.
An implementable yet innovative.
A neatness and splendour.
A greatness and achievement.
A unique but special function of a nurse .
At security stand point to aid a quick recovery or dignified death.
A mentor, educator, monitor and observe preventing illness at all cost.

A NURSE
she is an Angel in human form, Saddled with the responsibility of care.
She is present at the time of birth to welcome the newborn with the warmest smile, yet she is the last to gently close the eyes of the dying. secretly grieving afterwards even though she gave her best.
She has only one brain but thinks like a hundred people to meet up the demand placed on her by her dear profession.
She is rarely appreciated for all she does, undeterred she carry's on with the good work. She is noble, innovative, intelligent and dedicated.
She is no one else but a NURSE

Nurses! Unique Personalities, beautiful in and out, caring, Compassionate, intelligent, tolerant, empathic, yet humble and easily accessible.
They work wonders with their hands, they smile despite the challenges they may be facing. They miss out on lunch-time and hold on to their full bladder.
They give no preferences to race, ethnicity and financial ability.
They are Nurses though Angels in disguise. Least appreciated but remain selfless and diligent in their duty of care to humanity.
Oh! What a wonderful being they are.

A NURSE PART 2
She is an Advocate that goes all the way to ensure her patient's dignity is preserved.
She cares for her patient in the most courteous, organised and respectful manner even when her patient has lost awareness of happenings around him.
Her eyes are sharp and her brain calculative to detect errors that may endanger her patient's life.
As it is in her nature, she goes on to present her case to the erring party in the most reasonable manner.
She is none other than a NURSE.

A NURSE PART 4.
it's new year's day, everyone is at home making merry with their families, but she is gone to care for her patients.
Her kids wonder why she can't be there to observe the important family celebrations with them most of the time, Oblivious of the fact that she has chosen a calling that takes the whole of her. She live her life doing all to extend the lives of her patients and ensure a peaceful ending of the ones without cure.
Despite all her sacrifices she is not esteemed as important by the society. She is continuously motivated to serve because her drive is seen her patient get better so she keeps on the good work and consoled herself that her reward is in heaven.
She is Selfless, Sacrificial, understanding, relentless.
She is a daughter of Nightingale.
She is a NURSE.

POEM
THE NURSE
Young and vibrant,
Time came to choose a path for life,
They chose to be nurses!
Then it all began,
Books upon books,
Lines upon lines
8 to 5 lectures
Textbooks upon textbooks,
Sleepless Nights,
Numerous cups of caffeinated drinks.
But, why?
Why choose the hard path?
Well,
They're Destined help humanity.
Ready to lay down everything,
To place a smile on someone's face,
Giving solace to the wounded,
To give peace to the weary ones,
A shoulder to lean on for the retarded ones
A glimpse of hope to the dying souls
A ray of sunshine to someone's dark days
Standing as the only thread between life and death for the little baby
Speaking life over the broken soul
All these and more are the reasons she can have no rest
They know;
One day, they will be someone's only chance between life and death.
They are Nurses!
