Describe the challenges faced and how you overcame them?

Managing a social media websites and platform is so tasking and challenging. It requires a committed passion and dedication of personal time and money to sustain the website and fund support for moderator’s data. News and information must be provided at all time to keep page active and engaging. The challenge faced are being able to source information and also manage professionals without getting them offended. At initial period, many nurses assumed the website to be the regulator platform where many issues being faced are reported. We are able to direct them appropriately. Many also are really living with practices that are outdated on the platform hence require connecting them with appropriate link and giving correct information that have assisted many nurses on their way of practices.

The challenge has also being online every time to ensure that we remain focus professional discussion where we do question and answer session to change the perception and orientation. The challenge being faced is keeping the privacy of professional discussion strictly to our Facebook group. This is always difficult to reference and use read in future. Many still finds it difficult to log on to the website and make posting. Many prefer the Facebook discussion than website.

We are better now than 10 years ago. The work required a lot of research on the internet and adaptability of the content to Nigerian practice.

Describe your contribution for the betterment of the healthcare/nursing community?
My volunteering experience contributions to nursing profession has been very rewarding and in many unique ways. Nurses have been more reorientated to take up responsibility of providing public health education and awareness in their local communities.

Nurses have been inspired to engage in public health activities and initiatives in advancing nursing practice. Nurses have been inspired to have the option of embracing entrepreneurship in nursing and develop solutions that contribute to healthcare advancement. Many nurses now have seamless information of getting a new job and relocations to their desire countries where there are job opportunity. Many now have access to career mentors in growing a successful career.

Above all many have been able to provide for their family through jobs opportunity they secured both home and abroad
