1. Leverage on your smart phone which mostly today's graduates have to learn skills from Youtube.
2. Identify good mentors which Shane Snow called smart-cut because you'll learn from a mentor in one year what you'll spend your entire life learning alone.
3. Apply for an internship programme in organizations where you'll build skills and experience.
4. Download free ebooks on job hunting, entrepreneurship, Fourth Industrial Revolution Skills 4IRs and value adding books to read and grow.
5. Enroll in an apprenticeship programme (there are free and paid and the paid ones are mostly a token).
6. Use social media to build positive digital footprints, develop connections and build quality relationships that might translate into jobs or business.
7. Minimize your distractions by spending less time on social media and watching less of movie series and eschew entitlement mentality.
9. Build your communication skills both written and spoken which are crucial in job applications, scholarships, fellowships, interviews and other similar opportunities.
10. Know what you're wired for and go for meaning, purpose and impact.
