Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex Basic School of Nursing, Wesley Guild Hospital, llesa for a - 3 year General Nursing Course, commencing in September, 2013.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess: WAEC, SSCE/GCE OR NECO SSCE/GCE, 5 Credits (at not more than two- sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He/She should be at least seventeen and half (17%) years old by October, 2013. Applicant must note that combination of NECO and WAEC results is ACCEPTABLE.

Method of Application
Application form is obtainable from Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, School of Nursing, Wesley Guild Hospital, llesa at a cost of Five Thousand Naira (#5,000.00) only payable by cash to the School'S Account stated hereunder: Skye Bank Pic: Wesley Guild Hospital, llesa Account No: 1770751539

The Payment entitles the applicant to:
  • i. Application form
    ii. Scratch card for the result
    iii. Past question paper
Applicant should note that no part of the form be detached before submission.
Passport Photograph

Identical passport photographs taken within six months to examination should be attached to forms. Candidate who fails to comply with the above will NOT be allowed to sit for the Entrance Examination.

Closing Date
Completed application forms should be return tothe office of the Principal, School of Nursing, Wesley Guild Hospital, lIesa on or before Friday, 16th August 2013.

Date of Entrance Examination
Entrance Examination shall be conducted by theObafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex. Nursing and Midwifery Entrance Examination Committee on Saturday, 24th August,
2013.

1. Basic General Nursing
2. Post Basic General Nursing
3. Post Basic Midwifery
4. Post Basic Perioperative Nursing

I BASIC GENERAL NURSING
This is a three-year programme commencing in October, 2019

Requirements:
Applicants must possess: WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. He or she should be at least sixteen (16) years old on admission.

Method of Application
Application forms are obtainable from the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Ile-Ife at a cost of Seven Thousand Naira (N7,000.00) only.

PAYABLE VIA REMITA AT POLARIS BANK BRANCHES IN OAUTHC, ILE-IFE AND WGH, ILESA.

Two recent identical passport photographs should be attached to the application form.

Mode of Examination:
The examination will be Computer Based Test.

Closing Date:
Completed application form should be returned to the office of the Principal, Schools of Nursing, Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife and Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa respectively on or before Friday 3rd May, 2019.

Date of Entrance Examination:
Entrance examination shall be conducted by the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex, Nursing and Midwifery Central Selection Committee on Saturday 11th May, 2019.


II. POST BASIC GENERAL NURSING

This is an eighteen-month programme commencing in March, 2020
Requirements

Applicants must:
Possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with 5 credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Be a registered Midwife or Psychiatric Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

Have at least one year post registration working experience.

Method of Application
Application forms are obtainable from the office of the Head of Department (Nursing Education) OAUTHC, Ile-Ife on payment of Eight Thousand Naira (N8,000.00)

PAYABLE VIA REMITA AT POLARIS BANK BRANCH IN OAUTHC, ILE-IFE
Two recent identical passport photographs should be attached to the application form.

Closing date.
Completed application forms should be returned to the office where the forms are obtained on or before Friday 25th May, 2019.

Test and Selection Interview
Written Test: Tuesday 4th June, 2019
Oral Interview: Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th June, 2019



III. POST BASIC MIDWIFERY
This is an eighteen-month programme commencing in September, 2019

Applicants must:
i. Possess WAEC, SSCE/GCE or NECO, SSCE/GCE with five (5) credits (at not more than two sittings) in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Possess Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse.

Possess Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Registered Nurse.


Method of Application:
Application forms are obtainable from the office of the Co-ordinator, School of Perioperative Nursing, OAUTHC, Ile-Ife on payment of Eight Thousand Naira (N8,000.00) only.
