Neimeth awards prizes to deserving nurses

Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals in furtherance of its resolve to stimulate intellect, reading and writing skills in the nursing profession has honoured two student nurses who won awards at its just concluded 6th NCP Nurses Essay Competition.
The recipients of the essay entitled:”Beyond 27, 7 more Innovative Ways to use NCP in Modern Nursing Care” are Anthonia Ifeoma Mekwunye of the School of Midwifery, University College Hospital, Ibadan and Ogechi Blessing Babarinde of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Oyo State. They won food processors and branded towels respectively.
Speaking at the NCP Nurses award ceremony in Ibadan, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Office, Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc, Mr Emmanuel Ekunno said the competition was to appreciate and recognise nurses.
Mr Ekunno, who spoke though Miss Chinenye Okorunkwo, Neimeth’s Corporate Communication Manager declared: “The competition which is targeted at nurses is borne out of the fact that nurses are the most numerous in the healthcare delivery hierarchy. They contribute immensely to healthcare and perform invaluable roles, yet they are the most unrecognised and appreciated in the healthcare industry.
“This essay competition seeks to recognise and honour these diligent men and women of excellence whose jobs are indispensable in healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
Mr Ekunno described NCP as a unique antiseptic disinfectant that has 27 unique uses.
While acknowledging nurses contribution to the discovery of many uses of NCP, he said “NCP is an indispensable need in every home. Not only is it user-friendly, it is the best that different health conditions (cuts and bruises, wounds, mouthwash, toothache, aftershave) and many others.
Representative of the Director of Nursing Services, Oyo State Ministry of Health, Dr Ganiyat Adeniran noted the uniqueness of the competition in promoting excellence in nursing service.
She, therefore, appreciated nurses from the state who won at the competition.
It is recalled that Miss Rofeequah Opeyemi Okunola, a 300-level student of School of Nursing Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, Ogun State, the national award winner for the competition received a 32. GB 4th generation Apple ipad.
Other prizes won at the 6th NCP Nurses essay competition included 32” colour television, home theatre, blackberry phones and microwave ovens.

It is good new's that nurses won prizes it is good for in encourage them, if they are good writer it's is proud moment for them, i should recommend to all who love to read and write why not check here , here lots of people write according to their wishes and get good rewards, i personally use that site as a hobby, to increase my writing skill.
