Unread post by Kunle Emmanuel » Wed Sep 21, 2016 4:16 pm

Breast cancer far the most common non-skin cancer among women. Matter of fact, one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer during her lifetime. But advances in breast cancer treatment mean many women can expect to beat the disease and maintain their physical appearance. But the key word is alertness.

Breast health is an important part of our overall health and well-being. Being breast healthy means being breast aware; knowing about breast cancer risk factors; understanding your personal risk of breast cancer; proactive ways to help reduce your breast cancer risk; and being informed about screening for the earlier detection of breast cancer..

Preventive health is about making your health and well-being a priority.

When you practice preventive health, you take action, informed by evidence-based knowledge or the precautionary principle, to improve your chances of good health and better the odds of stopping disease before it starts.
