1. Like trauma, some medical emergencies also require urgent transport.
2. Check the blood glucose.
3. No medications are benign or harmless.
4. You CAN give too much oxygen.
5. Altered mental status of any kind is a serious sign.
6. Medical patients develop shock too.
7. You never diagnose something you don't consider.
8. All numbers found on devices are relative to the patient.
9. Altered Mental Status + possibility of pneumonia or UTI = sepsis.
10. If you get to the hospital and you are asked something about the patient that you don't know, you missed something. Learn from it.
