Top 5 AHA 2015 Guideline Updates for CPR and ECC

1. Vasopressin is no longer recommended in OHCA

2. In Acute Coronary Syndrome you can predict a <1% chance of 30-day MACE using a low risk stratification strategy plus contemporary troponins at 0 and 3 hours from arrival

3.Sign up for the good SAM app…you may just save a life

4. Focus on CPR quality:
Rate: 100 – 120/min
Depth: Between 2 in (5cm) and 2.5in (6cm)
Allow full recoil of the chest between compressions
Minimize Interruptions
5. Consider using ETCO2 in conjunction with other tools to help in making the tough decision of when to end resuscitative efforts in cardiac arrest
