Eliminate mosquitoes in your home with the use of insecticide-treated mosquitoes nets. Insecticide-treated nets are estimated to be twice as effective as untreated nets and offer greater than 70% protection compared with no net.
  • • Before you go to sleep or before you go out, spary insecticides in your home but do not stay in the room when the smell of the insecticide is still strong.

    • Remember to fumigate your house at least once a year.

    • Always close your doors to avoid mosquitoes coming in.

    • Visit the doctor for anti-malarial medications and complete your dosage.

    • Avoid areas where malaria and mosquitoes are present if you are at higher risk (for example, if you are pregnant, very young, or very old).

    • Pregnant women should take this very seriously; malaria is dangerous for pregnant women, it is the major cause of stillbirths so when feeling any signs of malaria, go to the doctor immediately for treatment.

NOTE: When purchasing a mosquito net, always ask for the treated one.

Prevent Malaria Attacks With Mosquito Nets

Do you know that the safest way to prevent malaria attacks is through the constant use of mosquito nets? It is an essential kit that should be found in every home due to its overwhelming importance. It is very useful for both children and adults.

Parents, who may not want to administer their children drugs frequently as a result of mosquito attacks, should develop the mindset of using mosquito nets daily. They are affordable, and in most cases, distributed free to families both in the rural and urban areas.

Apart from using mosquito nets during bedtime, the doors and windows in the home should equally be covered with mosquito nets.

Mosquito nets are handy and come in different shapes, sizes and colours that could fit into any space in the room, doors and windows.

Malaria is one of the most common illnesses that most Nigerians contract and the major cause of this illness is the presence of the "blood suckers" in the name of mosquitoes. The kind of mosquito and the way they bite these days one begins to wonder what part of hell they emanated. Sometimes even after spraying insecticides and you think your room is free, they still come back to feast on your body after it has died down.

The economic impact of the problems that mosquitoes cause is staggering for such a tiny little insect. To treat Malaria (cause by Mosquitoes) you will not spend less than a thousand naira (N1,000) in minor cases. In serious cases, you will spend over ten thousand naira to treat yourself at the clinic. Malaria sometimes lead to death. It's wise to keep our family safe from mosquitoes and be safe from Malaria.

Insecticides are dangerous to your health and the health of your family. When you flit your house with insecticides, you expose your skin to the chemical used in manufacturing insecticides which is bad for your skin. Beware of skin cancer.
Inhaling the gas released when flitting your rooms and house with insecticide is bad for your lungs and can cause bad harm to your respiratory system.

Now, what is the way out of mosquitoes harassment in the night?

Use mosquito net.
Don't Play Doctor with Malaria, Test before you treat.

Wear protective clothes like long pants and long-sleeved shirts. and try to stay inside when it is dark outside the home.
Preferably in a screened or in an air-conditioned room.
