Nurses are patients advocate. Nursing is different from medicine. We have different job description and calling. Though some are interwoven. It is not weakness on the part of a nurse if she refused to do certain procedures, it just that in health care delivery, there is division of labour and a well trained personal will stay within her scope of practice.

No other professional can perform the duties assigned to a nurse effectively more than the nurse herself. This is the reason training of unqualified people for sheep labour should be discouraged and resisted by All Nigerian. Nursing is a profession, it is not an offshoot of any other profession, The entire society should please be informed that nurses are not receptionists as been portrayed in some cottage hospitals.

We have definite independent and interdependent roles we render for our clients and patients, without which they cannot experience wellness or total deliverance from illnesses. Respect nurses, because they are your advocate. Great, articulate, dedicated, and immaculate nurses.

I throw way salute o!

1. You will be able to make a comment with as many words as you like without restriction.

2. It is highly moderated so no one is out of line. We can all disagree with respect to each other.

3. You can always go back and review the archived discussion on a later date because the past discussion topics are EASY to locate than scrolloing through so many pages to find an old discussion as we have it here.

4. It is not restricted to members of this group so your other friends can join in.

5. It is at the comfort of your home.

6. Its timed so it can serve as a means of fellowshipping and networking with one another.

We believe that this is a step in the right direction where we can all LEARN FROM EACH OTHER. If you know of ways to enhance this, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Love you all!!!

I am intrigued that lots of people either join up but never post or else visit and don't join.

I would love to know why that is and perhaps what people would like to say or ask but don't actually do it.

So this is my challenge. If you are one of those people, either be brave and post something, or else send me a private message and I will post on your behalf. 8-)
