Nurses Deserve Appreciation

Unread post by Queenet »

Nurses deserve our appreciation
They work under a lot of stress
On this there is no speculation
They are the best of the best

The Doctor’s get all of the respect
...While the Nurses work on the line
Nurses do what we’ve come to expect
They’re really one of a kind

They nurse our aches and pains
Administer treatment and medication
And then the nurse patiently explains
Alternatives and expectations

Thank a Nurse whenever you can
You will need a Nurse one day
I am the Nurses biggest fan
And that’s all I have to say
"Changing how the world thinks about nursing".

It's very hard to be a nurse nowadays. If nurses did not do their work many children would have died from communicable diseases,
if nurses did not care, there would be no hospitals, but consider, how we are perceived,
if a patient goes missing, the nurse is blamed,
if the pharmacy does not dispense medication, the nurses are blamed,
if the kitchen fails to supply meals on time, the nurses is blamed,
if the laundry fails 2 deliver linen on time, the nurse is blamed,
if the hospital is dirty, the nurses are blamed, 1 nurse cares for 10 pts but she is expected to deliver quality nursing care, everybody else have a right but not a nurse, everybody is expected to have mood swings but not a nurse, not all nurses are angels, but they not devils, they work under unbearable conditions & are stressed out because of stuff & resource shortages.

Nursing is said to be a calling but they have families to feed, clothe, educate & give shelter, nurses are being accused of being driven by money but do u know who works as hard & at such abnormal hours for charity? NURSES.

Nurses leave their children unattended at night and go on duty to serve the community that hates them, they work over weekends, they work on holidays because the people that hate them want to spend their leisure time at the seaside, so they dump their frail mothers, grannies and sickly children at the hospital under the care of cruel nurses.

I'm proud to be a nurse. If you share my thought, type Great Nurses.

1. Who take's care of patients in the ward's at night? Nurses.

2. Who keep vigil at night to look after the patients? Nurses.

3. Who takes pain-killer to a patient when he/she is in pain? Nurses.

4. Who bears the pains of patients at night? Nurses.

5. Who always put oxygen-mask to patients at night? Nurses.

Nurses are so pacify, peace-able, peace-ful, peace-keeping, peace-loving, peace-maker, peace-offering, and above all, nurses are walk-about, always keeping vigilant.

All good nurses must be in paradise.

I am a Nurse, Anyway

They may stare at you with anger in their eyes,
Look at them with compassion anyway.
They might spit on you while feeding them,
Feed and nourish them anyway.
They shout and ignore you when you talk,
Talk and be with them anyway.
They can bite you when you tuck them in bed,
Tuck them in to keep them warm for the night anyway.
They can slap you when you lean closer to listen to them,
Hear them out anyway.

They can kick you while trying to jump out of bed,
Catch them and keep them from falling anyway.
They may stain your favourite trendy uniform from incontinence,
Wash and keep them clean anyway.
They may want to walk in the middle of the night while the rest of the patients are in deep sleep,
Walk with them and keep them safe anyway.
They may consume your time by asking same questions repeatedly,
Re-orient them repeatedly and look in their eyes with a smile anyway.
They may share to you their past stories in the middle of your busy shift, Touch them and spend a fraction of your time anyway.

They may be quiet laying still in bed for hours with tears in their eyes,
Wipe their tears and ask them their favourite stories anyway.
Whenever they have a severe cancer pain,
Give their meds, then hold their palms tight and pray for them anyway.
Laugh with them when they are so happy (a good laugh from the heart).
Sing with them even though the lyrics are unfamiliar and old fashioned. Dance with them when they are so excited or just to cheer them up.

Write this in the tablet of your heart. They’ve been a strong, intelligent and beautiful persons in their prime years and now they’re approaching their final days…In the long run, that’s why NURSES are called, ANGEL of the Sick Room, Anyway.

These lines are from the Nurse who had been bitten by patient's relative at casualty.

If Nurses did not do their work many children would have died from communicable diseases,
if Nurses did not care, there would be no hospitals, but consider, how we are perceived,
if a patient goes missing, the Nurse is blamed,
if the pharmacy does not dispense medication, the nurses are blamed,

if the hospital is dirty, the Nurses are blamed,

Nurse cares for 10 patients but she is expected to deliver quality Nursing care, everybody else have a right but not a Nurse.

Everybody is expected to have mood swings but not a Nurse, not all Nurses are angels, but they not devils, they work under unbearable conditions & are stressed out because of stuff & resource shortages.

Nursing is said to be a calling but they have families to feed, clothe, educate & give shelter. Nurses are being accused of being driven by money but do you know who works as hard & at such abnormal hours for charity? NURSES.

What do we get from public percepcetion is irrespective behaviour. Commom Nurses derseves better appreciation.

I'm proud to be a nurse. How about you?
Human dignity, compassion, dedication, integrity, leadership & excellence. I love my job
