National Open University of Nigeria Nursing programme has officially released a detailed guideline for all applicants, seeking for admission into noun nursing program for 2019/2020.

The sale of forms for admission into the National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN) Nursing programme has commenced. Nursing programme has been added to the noun list of approved and registrable courses for 2019.

To make payment easy for aspirants, helping them to avoid the long queue in banks, the NOUN Admission board in collaboration with some designated banks and other stakeholders in the admission process, provided a simply means of registration. All prospective applicants are required to visit the NOUN Study Centre nearest to them for detailed information and explanations on the procedure for application for admission.

Admission Requirements
1. Admission available for 100 Level only.
2. A minimum of 5 credits in O' levels.
3. Compulsory courses required in O'levels are Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics .
4. Registered Nurse Licence/Certificate is required.

NOTE

• All applicants must have a valid practice license issued by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

• Applicants and aspiring students must have six months working experience and letter of attestation from current place of clinical practice for registration.

• HND or a good first degree in related field of study. In addition, five (5) credits in the following subjects listed below;
English,
Mathematics,
a science subject and two (2) other subjects.

How much is National Open University of Nigeria Nursing Application Form?

The NOUN application/registration form costs N5,000 only for undergraduate programmes and Ten thousand naira, (N10,000.00) only for Postgraduate Programmes respectively.

Important Information for Admission
All applicants should note that a 1 year post qualification experience is requested to be qualified and eligible for admission.

Admission into 100 level is not available.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Public Health

This is to inform and notify all candidates who are intending to enter the B.Sc Public Health Programme, must satisfy the University admission requirements as follows:

DIRECT ENTRY (ADMISSION INTO 200 LEVELS)

It is very important that all applicants and candidates must be admitted into the 200 Level of the programme, provided they have the following qualifications as listed below:
1. At least five (5) credit level passes at not more than two (2) sittings at the Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/NECO/GCE) examinations in the following subjects as listed below:
•English Language
•Biology or Health Science,
•Chemistry,
•Mathematics,
•Physics or any other science subject.

2. An additional qualification from any health related discipline such as listed below;

Community Health Officer Training Certificate (CHO),
NCE (Physical/Health Education, Science Education, Nutrition, Home Economics)
Health Superintendent,
Registered Nurse (RN),
Physiology,
Medical Laboratory Science, etc.

How To Apply for NOUN 2019 Admission (E-APPLICATION)

Applicants should take note that the entire registration process is electronic and online and operates 24 hours a day. You will be required to fill the National Open University Admission Application form online.

Here’s a detailed guide on how to apply online (NOUN)

1. Walk into any of these participating banks:

WARNING
1. Candidates should note that the National Open University of Nigeria would not be accountable for any payment made into any account other than the above designated banks and account numbers.

We Advice you to confirm the Bank Account Numbers before making any payment.

2. Pay as follows for NOUN application forms:
For anyone who wishes to enroll into the Undergraduate Programmes N5,000.00 (Five thousand naira) only
While the Postgraduate (PGD and Masters) Programmes N7,500.00 (seven thousand five hundred naira) only
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) Programmes is N10,000.00 (ten thousand naira) only.

3. Candidates should obtain a NOUN Teller specially designed for NOUN for the purpose of payment.(Ask for the Teller when you get to the Bank)

4. Collect the Application pin CODE equivalent to the amount paid for your form from the Bank.

5. Go online and visit National Open University of Nigeria official website www.noun.edu.ng and when the webpage loads up, click on the “application form”.

6. Use your Application pin number to access your NOUN online application form.

7. You are to complete the online NOUN admission application form by providing the required information.

8. After completion, the candidate can re-open the form as often as he/she likes, before submitting.

9. When you have completed all the above steps, you may submit your form by clicking the submit button at the bottom of the displayed screen on the website.

10. Then print out your provisional admission letter.

Note: Applicants are advised to insist on paying the stipulated cost only and obtain official receipt at the point of payment. This advertisemen can also be access on the NOUN website @ www.nou.edu.ng
