Basic Midwifery is a professional course in the training of midwives. The qualifications are accredited and graded by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The programme will commence in March, 2013.
GCE O'Level or equivalents with credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.
Age Limit: 16 - 21 years.
Studey Period: Three (3) years
Application Closing Date
Completed application forms with relevant documents are to be accompanied with a handwritten personal statements on 'Why I want to be a midwife' in not more than 200 words, are to reach the Ministry of Health Alausa, Lagos on or before 12th February, 2013

Application forms are obtainable in Lagos State Ministry of Health, Alausa, Ikeja, upon payment of N5, 000 into Skye Bank Account of Lagos State School of Nursing.

Examination questions will cover English Language, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Introduction to Basic Midwifery is scheduled as follows:

Please note that only successful shortlisted applicants will be contacted and that an annual fee of N 230,000.00 (Two hundred and thirty thousand naira only), which includes accommodation is to be paid by every successful candidate on resumption.
